*Longish with many pictures!*
I'm just waiting for my sisters camera to recharge enough so I can upload pictures!
*waits*
It was a long night. The 'party' started at 7pm. We got there just after 6.30, expecting it to be fairly busy - there ended up just seven of us sitting waiting for them to let us in! We stuck together, having the Billy!love in common.
They finally let us in, but they were still doing soundchecks - but this was not a problem since it was Billy's band on stage. We stood off to the side to squee/take pictures/video. At this stage Billy was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans (I know how important these details are).
All I've done is slightly resize the pictures so they're not so massive - but they're still fairly huge!
Soundcheck pics (clearly not touched up!):

They sounded really good, though they were only doing snippets since they were running very late. After, Karen (who does not have an lj and who was braver than I would ever be) went to ask Billy for autographs and photos on behalf of all of us. Billy told her he was off home for his tea (bless!) but to look for him later.
Here I should point out that there were many many bands at this thing. 10, maybe, at a rough guess, and some of them were pretty good. But we were waiting for Billy and co. - who were on last so we had to wait over 5 hours for them to perform!
So, yes, we secured ourselves a good table (front and middle) and settled in to watch the many bands. About 9.30ish
athousanderrors spotted Ali (who looks great by the way) and deduced Billy must be back.
He was, since he soon appeared near our table and we accosted the poor man. I have a photo with him, which is on my not-digital camera so god knows what I look like (manic grin=quite likely), and I got him to sign the picture of him with the ring (from the Empire special - you know the pic I mean), which I had taken with me just on the off chance. This is me squeeing - a lot!
Billy was wonderful, attentive to everyone that came up to him (which seemed like practically everyone there over the course of the night), and happily posing for photos. And omg that cheeky grin! Sorry, I'm squeeing to myself again.
More other bands, then it was The Angels Share, finally. People stood in front of us, so we were forced to get up move right to the very front of the stage - we were freakishly close!
They performed 4(5?) songs (the last 2 were 'Rip it Up' and 'Drunk' - someone took a set list so the names of the others will probably surface).
The line up was: Billy as lead singer (also playing guiter and mouth organ), a bass player, a second guitar player, and a drummer (who was called John). And they were good. The last song especially, Billy was *amazing* in - from the impressive falsetto section to a seriously hot rough gravelly part.
Billy had changed into ripped jeans, a black pinstripe shirt, a tweedish jacket, and a scarf/tie by this point. He also spent a good portion of his time on stage pulling his jeans up!
The performance - better quality since we're only about a foot away!:

I also have a very short video clip of Billy playing the guitar- but with no sound sadly - huh, apparently it does have sound - Billy clip
And that's all I can think of right now. My brain is still too excited! My sister took most of these photos (since it was her camera), though I took the great ear shot. I have fabulous timing. I should get mine developed in the next couple of days, so expect more!
ETA: Feel free to link to these/icon them/whatever you like. I don't mind!
ETA 2: The song 'Drunk' was the World Without Sundays song.
